Rev. Paul Purdue
Senior Minister
Rev. Paul Purdue, Senior Pastor at Tullahoma First United Methodist Church, grew up attending a very moderate Baptist church in Kentucky where his parents were very active as teachers and leaders in the church. He first experienced God’s call to ministry as a teenager at Rosemont Baptist Church and subsequently worked there as a youth director. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Asbury Seminary. Today, both he and his brother are ordained Elders in the Tennessee Conference. He has served in United Methodist congregations for the past 15 years, first as an associate pastor at Winchester First United Methodist, then subsequently as a senior pastor at New Chapel United Methodist Church in Springfield. The past five years he has served as senior pastor of Hillcrest United Methodist Church in Nashville. Rev. Purdue said he is excited about his appointment as senior pastor to our church and looks forward to serving at Tullahoma FUMC as we seek to build God’s Kingdom together.

Rev. Mark F. Ashley
Minister of Visitation
Rev. Ashley came to Tullahoma First United Methodist Church in July 2010 as Minister of Visitation. Rev. Ashley also works with the All for Peace and the Self-Development of Peoples in Washington D. C. He has also served in the South Indiana Conference, the Swedish Annual Conference and 15 years in the Tennessee Annual Conference. He retired with 35 years of service in 2005. He has also worked with New Hope Chapel, an emerging congregation in a Wedding-Prayer Chapel, located on the family property. He has also had a special interest in communication ministries and has hosted a radio program on WSM 650 AM for ten years. Rev. Ashley's primary responsibility is ministering to the visitation needs of the congregation, assisting in the worship services and developing and supporting an older adults ministries program within the church. We welcome him to FUMC.
